Artist Statement — “Pride”
“Pride” is an abstract reflection of inner strength rising through chaos and silence.
The intertwining lines resemble living roots, flames, and untamed growth — symbolizing resilience, identity, and the courage to stand tall despite emotional storms.
The contrast between the burning red background and the vivid green forms represents the conflict between destruction and rebirth. Each stroke moves upward, carrying a sense of persistence and self-worth.
Through this work, I wanted to express that pride is not arrogance — it is survival, self-recognition, and the quiet fire that keeps the soul alive.
