📖 Story Behind the Artwork:

“I Am Musa” is not just a painting — it is a spiritual journey captured on canvas.

In a world where oppression floats like pharaohs over the powerless, this image recalls the sacred moment when the infant Prophet Mūsā عليه السلام was placed in a wooden box and set adrift on the Nile — not abandoned, but entrusted to the will of the Most Merciful.

His mother, cloaked in sorrow, bends with trembling faith — letting go, so that destiny may unfold. The outstretched hand of the child touches not just water, but the pages of divine decree.

This painting whispers to all who feel lost, unseen, or cast away:
You are not forgotten. You are chosen. Even the river knew your name.

It is a tribute to courage born in silence, to faith that defies fear, and to divine plans hidden in pain.

🖊️

> “I am Musa — not just a child afloat,
but a decree carved in wood,
sailing into the heart of tyranny
with the truth wrapped in tears.

Before I could speak, the river knew my name.
Before I could walk, I was chosen to stand before kings.”_

🎨 Artist’s Motive (By Shorna Abedin):

> "As an artist and spiritual seeker, I painted ‘I Am Musa’ during a time when I, too, felt adrift — not knowing whether I was being forgotten or guided. I realized the river never forgets the one sent by Allah. This painting is a voice for the castaway, the broken, the waiting. It’s a reminder that divine purpose flows even in our helplessness. Through this canvas, I want to say to every soul: You are not lost. You are being carried."
