Artist Statement

My art is rooted in the dialogue between nature and the human spirit. 2:1 reflects a meditation on duality and unity — light and shadow, silence and vibrancy, multiplicity and oneness.

The towering trunks stand as silent guardians, painted in deep hues that rise against a luminous canopy alive with greens, yellows, and flashes of crimson. The choice of wood as a surface grounds the painting in permanence, allowing its textures and colors to resonate with natural strength and endurance.

The title 2:1 serves as a conceptual key — a ratio that suggests proportion, balance, and the tension between opposites. Rather than prescribing a single meaning, the work invites viewers to encounter their own reflections within the mystery of nature and proportion.
