Metamorphosis: The Blue Epoch
“Art is not merely a representation of form; it is the silent architecture of life coming into being.”
Metamorphosis: The Blue Epoch explores evolution as both a physical process and an inner transformation. The series presents a sequence of enigmatic, minimalist figures, beginning with a fragile geometric framework and gradually developing into denser, more structured and protected forms.
The progression suggests the continuous process of becoming. What begins as an exposed skeletal structure slowly acquires layers, patterns and protective formations—evoking not only biological adaptation, but the gradual construction of consciousness and the defenses through which we navigate the world.
Ultramarine blue dominates the figures, creating a sense of depth, introspection and quiet isolation. Against the warm ochre-yellow ground, the blue becomes a visual counterpoint to the surrounding energy: an inward world set against an external one.
The figures are deliberately stripped of facial identity and gender. They are not portraits of individuals, but universal forms—fragments of humanity suspended somewhere between origin and transformation.
At its core, Metamorphosis: The Blue Epoch is an exploration of becoming: the moment when form begins to acquire meaning, vulnerability becomes structure, and evolution becomes an expression of consciousness.
