Artist Statement – XAEL
XAEL is an exploration of the invisible threshold between perception and existence. The central figure does not represent a specific person, but a universal human presence confronting forces that cannot be fully seen or understood. The floating forms above are intentionally ambiguous—they may symbolize memory, fear, consciousness, or the unknown. Their meaning is completed by the viewer.
Rather than telling a fixed story, I create a space for interpretation. Layers of bold color, textured surfaces, and expressive marks reflect the emotional complexity of being human, where hope and anxiety, light and darkness, coexist within the same moment.
The title XAEL is an original conceptual word created to describe a state of awakening—the instant when one becomes aware of an unseen presence, whether external or deeply internal. It has no predefined meaning, allowing the artwork itself to define the word.
My practice is driven by symbolism rather than realism. I am interested in creating works that invite contemplation instead of providing answers. Through abstraction and layered visual language, I seek to transform emotion into a timeless experience, encouraging viewers to discover their own meaning within the silence of the canvas.
